So you’re about to graduate (or not) and you want to check a few last things off the 161 Things To Do list. Unfortunately, 151 of the 161 are a little bit on the challenging side. Thankfully, we’ve put together a few quick cross-offs that you can easily clear out of the way sometime in the next month.
13. Listen to a full chimes concert from the clock tower and guess the songs played
If you haven’t done this one yet, can you really say you went to this school?
22. Pick apples at the Cornell Orchards
Free apples and a check on the 161 list – I’d call that a win in my book.
58. Wait in line for half an hour for a salad at the Terrace
It’s a damn good salad, okay?
62. Go to Wegmans on a Friday or Saturday night
They may be out of produce at this time, but they’re never out of fun. Grocery shopping, amiright?
64. See the library’s Rare Book Collection
Despite its seemingly nerdy exterior, the rare books collection at Cornell is actually pretty great. They even have a copy of the Declaration of Independence.
71. Take an unplanned nap in a library
If you haven’t already done this, can I transfer to your major?
93. Walk to the Commons and back
Reward yourself for the trek with Purity ice cream.
108. Eat brunch on North Campus
Might I recommend RPCC Sunday brunch? (Fun fact: my neighbor at home went to Ithaca College and used to tell me that she and all of her friends would come to Cornell on Sunday mornings just to eat at RPCC)
119. Sing drunk on the drunk bus
I don’t care if you live in Collegetown and only went to Dunbars, you need to experience this just once.
161. Climb all 161 steps to the top of McGraw Tower
And you can even get a pretty picture when you get there (read: Cornell’s most instagrammable locations).
