As fall break approaches and prelim season is slowly but surely ruining our lives, every bit of help to bring you to the finish line counts. Music, for some, can really bring out the study mood (if there really is such a thing). Whether it’s the beat or lyrics, music can do wonders to your productivity. Here’s a list of songs that will definitely keep you going through the long nights of working.
1. Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself – Jess Glynne

Not only does this song give off buttloads of good vibes, but its lyrics are also appropriate for the moments when you’re on the verge of giving up.
2. You’re On – Madeon (ft Kyan)

Madeon, a 21-year old electronic music producer, fuses upbeat chords and choppy vocals from singer, Kyan in You’re On. Even if you’re not a fan of EDM or haven’t even heard of Madeon, you’ll want to study (or dance) after hearing this song.
3. Energy – Drake

Everyone loves a good ol’ Drake song. This song (which is ironically from the If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late mixtape) goes out to all the haters who say you can’t study the whole syllabus in one night.
4. Work Song – Hozier

This song’s title. Hozier’s distinct voice. Enough said.
5. Peanut Butter Jelly – Galantis

Just as the song goes, ace high and go all in (with your cramming, of course).
6. Omen – Disclosure ft Sam Smith

Every single time Disclosure and Sam Smith musically collaborate, you know it’s going to be good. Although Omen is no Latch, it will definitely leave you wanting for more Disclosure x Sam Smith songs. Why can’t they just make an album together?
7. Lose Yourself – Eminem

Throwing it back with Eminem’s best rap song to date. Seriously though, when the time comes, lose yourself in your work.
8. How Hard I Try- Filous feat. James Hersey

How Hard I Try from James Hersey’s first EP Dawn will definitely remind you why you’re working so hard or pulling an all-nighter for your upcoming prelim. This song will keep you motivated as you approach the home stretch of studying.
9. Firefly – Mura Masa ft. Nao

Although you may not understand any of Firefly’s indistinct lyrics, it doesn’t even matter because Mura Masa, one of the many underrated artists on SoundCloud, creates a sick harmony of instrumental sounds that will keep you awake and energized.
10. Show Me Love (EDX Remix/Radio Edit) – Sam Feldt

This song’s catchy hook and beat will get you pumped, even during the wee hours of the night.
When coffee or Red Bull fails you, music can give you as much, if not more energy and help you get into the zone. Remember, stay focused and happy listening!
