Over break, the Cornell community was shocked to learn that Dunbar’s had closed for good. A Collegetown staple for 36 years, Dunbar’s closing is yet another in a series of bar closings that have followed in recent years. 2. Cheap, strong Long Island iced teas on Thursdays

3. Your salty, often stale but delicious free popcorn

4. A reason to wear our “Dunbar’s Shoes” (so named because these are the only shoes we deemed tough or cheap enough to weather the unidentifiable green sludge covering the floor)

5. The writing on the bathroom stalls, on which inebriated individuals so freely and openly penned their thoughts.

6. The whiff of sweat mixed with beer mixed with god knows what else that radiated from its doors on Sunday mornings.

7. The constant stream of classic rock music.

8. The incredibly friendly and personable staff. There’s nothing like getting served a kamikaze shot by a classmate.
