What’s up all you Slope Media people?!?
DJ Books is here and blogging. I never thought I’d be a blogger – but I’m actually excited.
Slope Media is going to make some serious moves this semester – and I’m very excited to be a part of it. I’ll keep you posted on moves I’m making..
Check out my profile and read my annoying long profile description – its a good representation of how Slope started and what I’m about – I also posted a highlight reel from my show back when it aired on PuLSE FM in 2005/06 while I studied abroad my junior year at LSE – its posted on The Gong Show blog here on www.slopemedia.org
What does everyone think of Slope Day performers?
What’s your favorite Slope Radio show this year?
Also – Where’s the “cool” bar to go to for all you seniors this year?
Word of advice: If you haven’t found it, or know about it, the best bar in collegetown is Pixel – its not the Greek scene. Its the scenester and hipster scene, which is lame in itself, but way cooler than hanging with sweet laxers and the hockey team and sloppy sorority girls – although there’s nothing better than Tuesday nights - 80’s night at JO’s and Club Sidewalk in -20 degree weather.
If you’re a senior – take advantage of everything that is Cornell – hang out with the people that matter to you most, and have a sick, sweet, legit time. And if you’re looking for a “theme song” for Senior Spring (like Green Day – Good Riddance “Time of Your Life” – back in high-school) download this song – LCD Soundsystem – All My Friends, and Franz Ferdinand does a sick cover of it too.
You’ll hear from me soon enough.
