You’re a junior with three more weeks of final papers, presentations and exams left. The “spring” Ithaca weather is being flaky and uncooperative (as usual), and you miss your friends who have left you alone in exchange for fun pictures abroad. How will you get through this funk? A week of Cornelian spirit, thanks to the Cornell 2016 Class Council, of course!
“The Cornell Class Council wanted to create an event in anticipation of the shared, unique experience of the sesquicentennial” explains class council Executive Vice President Justine Brennan ’16. “The council is incredibly excited to use our resources to bring together the class this week over events [that] help foster our sense of group identity and class pride.”
Here are all the fun things they have in store for us:
1) Hungry for some school spirit?
Stop by CTB on Tuesday April 20 and order the “Sweet 16” Bagel. Take a picture of your bagel and hashtag#ilove2016 on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to be entered in a chance to win prizes! All participants will receive a free Cornell 2016 laptop sticker!

2) Pics or it didn’t happen
Get your photo taken at Trillium on Wednesday April 22 anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. You’ll get to be a part of the “Faces of 2016” photo campaign and get a chance to win even more prizes.

3) Throw Back Thursday
Instagram your favorite Cornell memory on Thursday April 23 using the hasthatgs #tbt and #ilove2016 in a chance to win even more prizes (Class Council, are you nuts? How can you give away all these freebies?)

4) X (read: 2016) Marks the Spot
Complete the (20)16 Things To Do list scavenger hunt on Friday April 24! When you’re done, upload a photo with the hashtag #ilove2016 and get a chance to win even more prizes (Okay, Class Council. What’s the deal here, do you know Bill Gates personally?)
