Choosing where to eat in Ithaca can sometimes be a struggle. Though Collegetown’s eateries may not offer the best you’ve ever had, they’re quick, convenient, and (usually) more than decent quality. If you find yourself unable to decide where to eat, or you’re sick of eating at the same places, try letting your mood decide for you.
1. CTB

A Collegetown staple, CTB is really good for any mood, and any meal. A bagel or sandwich will give you a much needed boost before class on a sluggish day. And if you’re feeling extra confident on a Sunday morning, head to CTB to see just about everyone you know.
2. Souvlaki House
If you’re really hungry but want to eat something somewhat nutritious, Souv is the place. You can feel healthy by getting a Greek salad to offset indulging in the complimentary hot dog buns breadsticks. It’s the perfect atmosphere for relaxing after a long day at the library. Wine recommended.

Perfect for all your drunk “moods.” End of story.
5. Miyake
This restaurant will make your parents think Collegetown is somewhat classy, as long as you don’t take them during a sake bombing date night. Miyake is a good idea when you really want sushi, but can’t order in for the fourth night in a row. It’s also a chill atmosphere for a date, but you might want to think twice about ordering a spicy tuna roll.
6. Jack’s
Satisfy all your greasy food dreams. Whether it was a bad prelim grade or a not-so-fun night out, you can drown your sorrows in a basket of French Fries and a grilled cheese.
7. Aladdin’s
If you’re in the mood for Greek and Italian but not down for the scene at Souv, you can get similar food here. Advertised as a “natural eatery,” you can fill up on something substantial before you go out so you won’t be so hungry later and feel the urge to eat more. Alternatively, save your leftover food and drunk eat it later.
8. Taco Truck

When your usual late-night eating routine starts to lack satisfaction, switch things up by trying the newest food truck, located on the corner of Eddy and Dryden. If you’re over the party scene for the night but not ready to go home yet, the crowd at the Taco Truck is the perfect in-between to keep your night going. Don’t worry about deciding between tacos or quesadillas–get both and you won’t be disappointed.
These are just a few of the most well-known eateries in Collegetown. If you’re feeling really adventurous (and ok with risking a potential stomach ache), try one of the places you didn’t know existed. Even if they aren’t five-star, the restaurants in Collegetown are diverse enough to satisfy a variety of your moods.
