We caught up with Billy Bragg a couple hours before his show at the State Theater in Ithaca, NY this October. Sitting in on his sound check, we heard Billy poking fun at his production manager as he told us music jokes like, “What do you get when you drop a piano down a mine shaft? A flat minor.” Check out what he has to say about issues from myspace.com music copyrighting to the importance of the 2008 U.S. presidential election.
With about 10 of us shoved into a back-corner dressing room underneath the stage, Billy got a little rowdy when his road manager continued to pester him about getting dinner before the show…
Anyways, we’ll leave you with this: in the words of Billy Bragg, “Slope Media ain’t no geezer”.
