Everybody loves Whole Foods, and if you don’t, it’s because you’ve obviously never been there before. From their delectably healthy food options to the fresh, positive atmosphere, there’s something about Whole Foods that just isn’t anything like any other grocery store out there. As I’m sure you already know, Ithaca, unfortunately, doesn’t have a Whole Foods within 100 miles of campus. Here are the top seven reasons why Ithaca must have a Whole Foods:
1. The Unique Sushi

instead of plain rice and their fish is always fresh. On top of that, they love to experiment by adding in various fruits and ingredients, like almond butter. Do sushi places in Ithaca do that?
2. The Delicious Juice

The great thing about juice at Whole Foods is that it not only is good for you, but you actually enjoy drinking it too! They’re packed with kale and juicy fruits all in season. What better way to get your daily dose of vegetables in.
3. The Rare Food Items

One of my favorite things about Whole Foods is that you never know what you’ll find. You can be almost 100 percent sure that if you spent enough time in the store, you’d discover a food or ingredient you never even knew existed. From maca powder to baked mochi, Whole Foods knows how to wow its shoppers. Who knows, you may even discover your new favorite treat!
4. The Local Fare

Going to Whole Foods is almost like going to a Farmers’ Market that is open every day. You can buy foods that were grown practically in your backyard, without having to wait for the weekend so come so you can enjoy them!
5. The Endless Salad Bars

No one does salads better than Whole Foods. With aisles and aisles of neverending options, you could probably go to Whole Foods and get a completely different option every day! Plus, their pre made assortments are killer.
6. The Convenient To-Go Options

For those on the go who are craving something a little lighter than a huge, greasy burger, Whole Foods has the options for you! Jam packed with fresh proteins and tangy vinaigrette, Whole Foods’ to-go containers promise a satisfying meal you may not be able to find anywhere else.
7. The Health-Oriented People

Last but not least, who could forget one of the very best parts about Whole Foods… The people! Whole Foods brings together a community of people with one thing in common; health conscious eaters who enjoy delicious food! Whole Foods shoppers have something about them that makes you want to keep coming back to the store. They’re friendly, fit, and above all, they almost make you want to be a better person. If that isn’t reason enough to go to a healthy grocery store, I don’t know what is!
