Professor Jim Maas has taught PSYCH 101, one of Cornell’s most popular classes, for over forty years. Maas, who coined the term “power nap,” is known for his work in the field of sleep research, specifically the relationship between sleep and performance.

He is the author of the New York Times best-seller “Power Sleep: The Revolutionary Program That Prepares Your Mind for Peak Performance” and “Remmy and the Brain Train,” an award-winning children’s bedtime story about the need for sleep.

Basketball head coach Steve Donahue has taken the Big Red to the NCAA Tournament for the past two seasons. Donahue sat down with “Sidelines” host Blaine Friedlander on Feb. 9 to discuss how the team has evolved over the years, the talent on his roster, and the road ahead.
