If you are staying in Ithaca over Fall break, you’re probably wondering what to do for the weekend when most of your friends will be heading back home. Well, worry no more because Slope has got you covered!
1. Attend On The Corner by the Civic Ensemble
From October 7-October 11, Ithaca’s civic-minded theatre company will be performing it’s play, On the Corner, about a divided America throughout time. On the Corner has been in development since June 2015, when a group of community volunteers came together to develop scenes and characters. Buy your tickets online at civicensemble.org
2.Have a picnic on the slope

Fall break is notorious for being the point at which you put away your sandals and take out your sweaters. So before the weather takes a turn for the worst, it would do you well to finally go relax, eat some food, and watch the sunset slope-style.
3. Go on your monthly Target run

Chances are, with all your friends gone, you’ll be left with a lot of free time. Get some of those nagging chores out of the way by taking a trip to your friendly neighborhood Tarjay. Be sure to buy all your food essentials, and stock up on some nice new scarves for the upcoming tundra.
4. Try a new dish at CTB

We all know that the wait at CTB can get pretty long at times. Fall break will be the perfect time to get your favorite bagel or try something new in the shortest time.
5. Get caught up with the new commons

With most cornellians gone, it will be prime time townie-watching at the commons. If you haven’t had the chance to go see the brand new commons you can take a lovely stroll through the fresh new street and maybe do some shopping.
This post is sponsored by Civic Ensemble. Their play, On The Corner, will be performed at Beverly J. Martin Elementary School from October 7-11. Learn more here.
