Is it really a good idea to resolve couple’s issues with ChatGPT? Some have tried the experience… they share their stories!
Love: They Decided to Resolve Their Couple’s Issues with ChatGPT
Since its emergence, ChatGPT (and artificial intelligence in general) has infiltrated all aspects of our daily life, including our romantic relationships. An increasing number of couples now use AI as a confidante, or even as a genuine advisor in cases of romantic conflict. But is this really a wise choice?
For Alley, 30 years old, there’s no contest. “ChatGPT helped me resolve the emotional dilemmas I was facing, understand the patterns in my relationship, and find strategies to manage conflicts,” she tells L’ADN. “It’s like an interactive diary.”
A similar observation comes from Florent, 34 years old, who faced multiple crises with his partner. Since he started using AI for his relationship issues, he claims that she has noticed “a big change” in his behavior.
The Opinion of a Specialist
While ChatGPT seems to offer attentive listening to troubled couples, this “miracle” solution has its limitations. “The illusion is appealing, but AI is not a therapist. It lacks nuances, contextual understanding, and, most importantly, the human dimension that is essential in psychological support,” explains Amélie Boukhobza, clinical psychologist, to Doctissimo.
For this expert, the main problem lies in the very nature of artificial intelligence: it provides logical answers where romantic relationships require sensitivity. “There’s a risk of confusing algorithmic support with genuine therapeutic accompaniment,” she asserts. So… are you for or against ChatGPT in resolving romantic conflicts? We’d love to hear your opinion!
