Sixty boreholes measuring 32 meters deep house U-shaped geothermal probes made from cross-linked polyethylene, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 85°C. The Urban Heating Network: A Local and Sustainable Solution

In Cadaujac, the urban heating network established by AbSolar supplies 67 homes with heating and hot water. This network operates in two modes: the “free heating” mode, where heat is directly injected into the system, and the C2SES mode, which powers a heat pump during winter. With an annual subscription fee ranging from €300 to €400 per household, this system offers an economical and ecological solution for residents.

The installation of a decoupling tank in each home ensures a safety backup, guaranteeing a continuous supply of heat. This model could be replicated in other regions of France, pending environmental authorization for mining works.
