Known for its numerous strikes, the SNCF does not enjoy unanimous support among the French public. Faced with the announcement of a new strike, a man took it upon himself to reprimand a union representative without mincing words.
Clearly frustrated, the man launched into a vehement tirade against the union representative, labeling him as the embodiment of “what doesn’t work in this country.” In his view, he called into question the very legitimacy of their cause: “Is it really a priority to find 1 euro in the state’s coffers?”
He continued, accusing the representative of lacking courage and of enjoying an unassailable comfort within the SNCF. According to him, despite the claims and complaints, the union representative is incapable of leaving his position, proving he is “too comfortable” in the very system he criticizes.
The man went even further, asserting that these representatives “annoy the French people” throughout the year and refuse to face the reality. He added that they have a fear of the outside world and that this situation inevitably reflects something. He criticized a certain comfort that these union representatives maintain compared to the larger population, which they try to improve and preserve.
