This woman, who left her child at the doorstep of a complete stranger, perfectly illustrates this type of situation. She even left a letter that explains everything!
A Young Woman Overwhelmed!
This heartbreaking story takes place in London, Ontario, Canada. It was supposed to be a normal day for Bria Vanier, the owner of a home in the county. However, when she stepped outside, she was met with a surprising discovery!
Right at her doorstep lay a pale newborn in need of assistance. Clearly, someone had placed the baby there with no intention of returning. Bria didn’t have any surveillance cameras on her porch, making it impossible to identify the child’s parents.
Fortunately, the young woman was home that day and quickly found the infant. Otherwise, it’s hard to know what could have happened to him given the in that area. Additionally, the baby had only a simple blanket to keep him warm!
Without hesitation, the 38-year-old woman picked up the baby and attempted to comfort him while simultaneously calling the emergency services for assistance. Upon closer inspection, she realized the baby had just been born!
The True Intentions of the Mother
Clearly, the young woman didn’t know how to care for a newborn. To ensure the baby’s well-being, she then called the police. An ambulance arrived promptly to check on the infant, and the medical personnel took him to the hospital for routine examinations!
A few hours later, the young woman learned that the newborn was perfectly healthy. However, the police still needed to investigate to find the mother, who surely needed help, as giving birth is no easy task. Eventually, the authorities were able to locate her!
Sean Travis, the inspector handling the case, stated: “We would like to thank the public for their compassion and involvement in this matter. Thankfully, everyone is safe”. To protect the mother’s privacy, he did not disclose her identity!
This woman left a small note within the blanket of her child before abandoning him. She wrote: “Give my baby a good home. I am unable to care for him”. Clearly, this is a desperate person who doesn’t know where to turn!
The Moving Testimony of the Young Woman
During an interview with a local media outlet, Bria Vanier shared more details about what the baby’s mother went through. She also recounted, “She said it was a home birth, that her baby didn’t like bright lights, and that she wanted someone to take care of him”.
The young woman also discovered from the letter that the newborn was born a day earlier. She expressed her support for the mother, stating: “I believe it’s someone who struggled greatly to abandon her baby. This is a desperate person”.
