Are you looking for a new, thrilling show to watch? Look no further than Hulu’s hit series, Only Murders in the Building starring Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin. Not only is the cast star-studded, but the plot is so unique and captivating that you’ll feel practically forced to binge it all in one sitting.
The season one finale of the short series aired on October 19th, and I feel that a full-fledged review is in order. The show has gained widespread media and audience attention, and they’ve already announced that they are filming a second season.
You might be wondering, Okay, so what is this show about, anyway? Think comedy meets mystery meets crime. The show follows three strangers who live in the same building and are obsessed with the same true-crime podcast. They unite when a murder occurs in their building, and form their own true-crime podcast trying to uncover the details of the killing.
One of the main reasons I enjoyed this series so much was the characters and their dynamic. Obviously, Selena Gomez is much younger than the two men, and her relationship with them was hilarious and charming. Her character would teach them trendy terms and how to use social media, and they were protective and fatherly toward her. They formed a strong bond by the end of the show. It was very entertaining to see these three characters, all with widely different backstories, come together and try to solve a murder.
Additionally, the story unfolds in such an interesting way and really leaves you on the edge of your seat. If you’re a fan of plot twists, this is the show for you. The episodes came out weekly, but they’re all on Hulu now, so there will be no waiting for the next episode and wondering what happens if you decide to watch.
I personally cannot wait to see what season two will have in store because if it’s anything like season one, I know I’ll love it. The show ended with a huge cliff-hanger, so I’m eagerly awaiting season two’s release, and hopefully, you’ll join me in watching.
