If the revision of Caf benefits is confirmed, beneficiaries will still have to wait a bit longer to enjoy the new provisions.
A Welcome Revision
The impact of inflation is being felt! This is why it has been decided to revise social benefits, which will increase by 1.7% starting in April. However, the payments on the 4th of the month are not included in this adjustment; beneficiaries will have to wait until May 5th to see the increase. The reason for this delay is that the aid is “paid in arrears”. As the Caf points out, “benefits for January are paid at the beginning of February”.
Therefore, the revision will only be visible starting next month.
In any case, many beneficiaries will be affected. This includes those receiving the shared educational allowance for children (PrePare), the birth grant, or the adoption grant.
What About the RSA?
The RSA is of course included. After the revision, it will increase to 646.52 euros for a single person, up from 635.71 euros currently. For couples with one child, it will rise to 1,163.73 euros, while for couples without children, it will be 969.78 euros.
In addition to this aid, the family supplement, the back-to-school allowance, the family support allowance, the activity bonus, the disabled adult allowance, and the moving bonus are also included.
This revision is a welcome news for beneficiaries during a time when inflation forces them to tighten their belts.
