Tragic explosion at a water park!

The Formosa Fun Coast water park in Taiwan used to welcome thousands of holidaymakers. It boasted the longest water slide in Asia, attracting guests for exciting parties and breathtaking entertainment!

Tragically, everything changed on June 27, 2015. As usual, thousands of visitors gathered in front of the park’s stage for the “Color Play Asia” event, a unique spectacle. The staff had sprinkled cornstarch powder over the audience.

The holidaymakers were meant to enjoy a colorful display above them while dancing to the DJ’s beats. But suddenly, an astounding explosion occurred, engulfing everyone in a fireball. The death toll included 15 fatalities and hundreds burned!

After a thorough investigation, the police determined the cause of the disaster. The staff had used far too much cornstarch (around 3 tons). The combination of the powder, heat, and confinement ignited. The primary triggers were the hot lights from the stage!

Following the incident, the event organizer, Lu Chung-chi, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for “negligence resulting in death”. This decision did not sit well with the victims’ families, who believed that other responsible parties at the water park, including the president, should have faced consequences as well!

From the moment of his visit, Josh observed that the water park had undergone significant deterioration. Nature had overtaken every corner of the amusement center. He also encountered a “graveyard of tables” that he had to climb over to enter.

This YouTuber bravely ventured onto some rides and slides, although he chose not to risk his life on certain play areas. After years of neglect, it’s clear they’re not as safe as before!

There are many other abandoned water parks around the world similar to the one in Taiwan. These places have a heavy and desolate atmosphere.
